I think you’re being a little hard on this class sure the lottery picks weren’t the best but from this class there’s 2 MVP’s, 3 all nba players, 5 all star players, 5 players to win an nba championship, a defensive player of the year with Marcus smart, a 6th man of the year winner in Jordan Clarkson, a rebounding champion in Clint capela, a few guys who averaged 20 ppg for a couple seasons like jerami grant and Spencer dinwiddie, and a bunch of role players who’ve had long careers like nurkic bogdanovic and Kyle Anderson it’s actually a pretty good draft class it’s not one you can really call weak.

Parker did have a couple really strong years in Milwaukee. But ultimately, the injuries derailed any promise he had. And it turned out that Giannis was just way better. The Bucks were right to move on from Parker and build around Giannis. Parker's attitude toward playing defense didn't help either. He had that quote at one point that he wasn't getting paid to play defense. Bro, that's why no one in the NBA will pay you anymore. He's said he's happy though. He's made millions of dollars and helped his family out of poverty. So I think that's really what matters. Not every great player is destined to become an NBA All-Star.

I never feel like players are busts. GM's are busts for not being able to evaluate talent. Aaron Gordon was a high draft pick because he was athletic. There are TONS of guys who have made it to the NBA on athleticism, but that's all that they have and are considered "busts". Statistically speaking, athletic players don't pan out most of the time. They don't have a great work ethic because they just blew by everyone all the way to the pros and were told that they were the next big thing all along the way. GM's need to start drafting guys on work ethic and interviews.

There is a clear reason why top prospects weren’t as scouts expected. And there were loads of surprises in late draft
And the reason is golden state warriors and Steph Curry era. This is exactly the draft before Golden State era.
Players like Wiggins and Jabari talents were built for the era style before Steph exploded . The change of the game took all of their main advantages like his midrange game.
As well for others. You can see great talents in this draft struggling to adapt in their first years, to very changing game before they build name and confidence.
Some other unexpected players thrived in the new style of play

The thing with LaVine is that he is *not* a good playmaker. He can score, he can create his own shot, and he can score off the ball very well. But he *cannot* create for his teammates and that ends up with him being forced into taking contested shots or trying to pass out of double-teams. His career 4.0 APG is misleading, as with a 2.6 TOV/G mark, he’s not even a 1.5 A/T guy, which is not good. And unlike some guys, he doesn’t make up for that with defense either.

sam hinkie's tanking always been look down but for me, its a really good decision but the problem after deciding that, they failed in scouting department.. i remember that time where they drafted 3 centers and no ones took their bait because their initial plan was to offer one of them (Noel, embiid, & okafor) before the start of regular season but no one made an offer.. instead of picking okafor that they thought the best player that will land on their pick, they should at other prospects.. it didnt help that they picked number 1 in 2016 a 6'10" point guard who doesnt want to shoot 3.. they should've for a reliable scorer in that draft.. and then in 2017, its just unfortunate fultz suffered an injury.. coming out of college i also believe in his skill that i compare him to guys like eric gordon and CJ McCollum that is more efficient offensively.. i believe ar that time, fultz is better than tatum and fits perfectly to sixers.. 2015 and 2016 for me are the bad draft decisions.. they should've consider drafting ingram or brown..

Lavine is a individually talented player but since hes a bad playmaker his teams dont win games and his contract is horrible. The bulls have been on a roll and have a bright future after he was traded. The kings have slid after trading fox for him and their future went from bright to shaky. His on off numbers tell you

Wiggins rose to become the second best guy on a championship team, the team *I* cheer for (go Dubs) so it's really hard to consider him a bust, and he was Rookie of the Year. BUT, after his NCAA tournament game, I couldn't believe he went #1. The raw stat line was bad enough: 1 for 6, 4 points, 4 turnovers, but it was the game itself that sealed it for me. He looked so lost out there. I don't mean discombobulated. I mean genuinely "WTF am I doing out here?!" LOST. It was so awkward to watch, and Kansas lost and that was all she wrote for his college career. I was certain that someone else would go #1, maybe Embiid. Who cares if he was putting up 40 point games before that. When the bright lights were on, he shrank, and NBA lights are VERY bright. I really think the only reason he went #1 was because Cleveland had rolled the dice on another non-consensus #1 the year before and it was a disaster. They were going to swap the pick anyway, but I can't believe Minnesota didn't watch that NCAA game over and over and say "maybe we should ask Cleveland to take Parker #1."

I don’t think this class is weak or bad by any means. Disappointing? Maybe, given the hype and how folks were comparing the 2014 class to the legendary 2003 class.
However, there are plenty of good players with long careers and 2 MVPs. It’s just the guys that ended up being great ended up going beyond pick 10 and nobody in the top 10 except Embiid (maybe Randle) lived up to the hype.

If everyone else wasn’t even in the nba still it still wouldn’t be the worst lol. 2 mvps is enough

Have you done the story on team Argentina winning the Olympics in 2004?
I'm surprised on how it's been a long time that an Argentinian player played in the NBA

i dunno about wiggins man... one night he'll drop 40, then the next 10 games you won't even hear about him... the inconsistency is just baffling... at least he helped the warriors get one more ring
